Tre Juve-stjerner kan vinde Den Gyldne Fod 2014

Gigi Buffon, Giorgio Chiellini og Andrea Pirlo. De tre Juventus-spillere er med i kapløbet om at vinde The Golden Foot 2014.

For dem der ikke lige kender den pris så gives den til en spiller der har været et forbillede både på og udenfor banen. Spilleren skal være fyldt mindst 29 år når prisen uddeles i Monaco til oktober.

Og feltet er spækket med stjerner som f.eks. Cristiano Ronaldo, Iker Casillas, Steven Gerrard, Thierry Henry og Andrés Iniesta.

Prisen blev uddelt for første gang i 2003; Roberto Baggio vandt. Og i løbet af årerne er hædret gået til Juventus-spillere to gange: I 2004 vandt Pavel Nedved og i 2007 strøg Alessandro Del Piero helt til tops.

April, prompting another round of votes ahead of October’s gala night in Monaco.

The eventual winner will be announced during the ceremony and presented with his award by HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco before leaving his footprint on the Champions Promenade, an open-air museum situated on the Principality of Monaco’s waterfront.

The Golden Foot accolade, first handed over in 2003 to Roberto Baggio, also counts Pavel Nedved and Alessandro Del Piero amongst its previous winners.

Several legends of the game will also be invited to leave their permanent mark on the Champions Promenade, with Jean-Pierre Papin, Carlos Valderrama and Osvaldo Ardiles the three to be honoured last year.
